Repress: The fourth release on Theo Parrish’s Sound Signature label. The EP follows the Parrish blueprint with dark and moody grooves. The A-side features „Ebonics,“ a dancefloor-friendly track that works in a sample from an old educational record explaining black dialect, along with a translated passage of ebonics. „Dusty Cabinets“ graces the record’s B-side. A meandering pattern of off drum beats and a low synth held together nicely by a single clap pattern. Parrish seems to work a chaotic pattern of broken notes into a dark melody that forces your attention.
